Welcome! I am Erika Herschbach and I founded Tayo Day Spa in 2001. I started my career as a licensed aestetician working independently. As my clientele grew by word of mouth, I searched for a location in Watsonville with the right ambiance. I fell in love with the Victorian-era building on Brennan Street, and first moved the business into the "back house" while I waited for the main house to have a vacancy. I gathered a close group of associates into the business to form the core of Tayo Day Spa. With the move into the main house, we realized our dreams of a relaxing, tranquil environment within the feeling and period decor of a Victorian home. Tayo used half of the house for several years, and in 2007 expanded to occupy the full house, adding more services to the growing list of clientele. We were pleased to have the room to open our Skin Care Boutique as well - see our Contact page for hours that it's open to the public without appointment. 
Tayo Day Spa has grown through word-of-mouth referrals and repeat clientele. Our Spa has a unique location in south Santa Cruz County, offering relaxing services without the stressful drive to Aptos or Santa Cruz. We offer our clients a focus on wellness and health, and a getaway from their normal routine. |
